Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you accept insurance?

I am currently in-network with Medicaid! Otherwise, I am not currently accepting other major forms of insurance as a form of payment, which I acknowledge can limit one’s access to services. I offer superbills for those wanting to use out-of-network benefits. Please ask about sliding scale options if you are needing more equitable access to services.

  • What do sessions typically look like?

Counseling sessions are what you make them to be. We will work collaboratively to figure out what feels right for you, wherever that may be on the directive— indirective spectrum.

Typically, sessions are around 50 minutes long. Shorter and longer sessions are available per request, with fees subject to change.

  • Do you offer in-person services?

All counseling sessions are offered on telehealth platforms only within the state of Colorado. We will be meeting on a HIPAA compliant interface which requires a strong and stable internet connection. Phone calls may also be an option in the case that you do not have reliable access to internet.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

As a good rule of thumb, I require at least a 24-hour notice for appointment cancellations. Late cancellations and/or no-shows will be charged the full fee if adequate notice is not provided. Although, life happens - we can discuss nuanced situations on a case-by-case basis.

  • How do I schedule an appointment?

If you are a new client, please fill out the contact form that can be found on my homepage or here. For returning/recurrent clients, please reach out to me directly to discuss current availability.

  • Does therapy work?!

As a therapist, I am biased and inclined to say absolutely. Ultimately, you get out what you put in. Progress looks and feels different for everyone, so we will continuously engage in transparent dialogue about your wants, needs, and expectations.
